Call +1 609-784-8602 or email LittleSteps1509@gmail.com. Tell us your child's age and the days you need. We will talk through what you are looking for and what comes next. If you use BCAP or NJ Care for Kids State Assistance, say so, and we can walk through it together.

Tour the room
Come see the classroom your child would join and meet the teachers who run it. Watch how the room is set up and how the adults talk with the children. Ask anything you want about the day, the ratios, or the schedule. Then go home and decide what feels right for your family.

Enroll and settle in
Once you enroll, we plan a first week that suits your child's routine. Bring what your child needs to feel at home here, and tell us how drop-off and pickup should go. Your child's health is our primary concern, and we take steps to keep each child safe and cared for. The teachers will tell you how the days are going.
What to have ready
Most families get the paperwork together before the first day. That means the enrollment forms, a health form and your child's immunization record, plus emergency contacts and the names of anyone allowed to pick your child up. Gather these early, and ask us if you are unsure what a form needs.
Pack a full change of clothes that stays here, labeled with your child's name. Add outdoor gear for the season, nap items if your child rests, and one comfort object from home. Labels matter, because small things go home with the wrong bag.
Before the first day, talk with us about drop-off. Tell us who will bring your child and who may pick them up, and add or change names as needed. Tell us how you want to hear about the day, whether at the door or by a message. We will follow your lead.
The first weeks
The first days are often shorter, so your child can get used to the room and the faces. Bring something familiar, like a small blanket or toy, that stays close. A teacher greets your child by name and shows them where their things go. You can call to check in.
At pickup, a teacher tells you how the day went. They mention what your child ate, how they rested, and what they played. Most children settle within a few weeks, and some take longer. Tell us what you see at home, so we can match what we do here.

What if there is no place right now?
If a place is not open for your child's age, you can ask to be told when one is. We will let you know as soon as we can.
